2010 Ongoing Professional Development Program
The International College of Celebrancy has presented AG- approved professional development since official OPD started in 2003. Dally Messenger wrote the first training for civil celebrants in 1995. He has worked passionately for quality in all ceremonies, as well as high standards for celebrant training. Dally and his wife, Remi, have created curriculum around every aspect of ceremony. The work of the College has substance, meaning and depth, and all participants are treated with respect and professionalism.
We always work to ensure that the College OPD sessions are relaxed and enjoyable but also competently structured so you learn valuable skills and information. We want you to participate to the extent you are comfortable and gain motivation and renewal in your celebrant work. There is always a mix of experienced and new celebrants.
OPD for the 2010 celebrant year is still under development with the Attorney Generals department. Until this is completed, there are no plans for OPD available. The International College of Celebrancy has responded to the offical tender put out by the Attorney Generals department, and will be advising celebrants of training sessions once the appointments are made.
