ICC Alumni and Friends
An Association wherein all celebrants who seek to pursue Excellence and Best Practice in ceremonies can find mutual support and encouragement. .
Welcome to ICC Alumni and Friends : A foundation member of the Celebrant Peak body, Coalition of Celebrant Association (CoCA)
We are an affiliation of students and civil and marriage celebrants who have a common desire to conduct ceremonies of dignity and substance for our clients.
Those of us who can meet regularly the fourth Tuesday evening of each month at Bells Hotel at 157 Moray Street, South Melbourne, all celebrants and aspiring celebrants are welcome to join us for dinner or just for conversation and information sharing.
We are an Australia-wide affiliation, happy to have members in all states. The requirement for membership is that you have a desire to be informed, supported and encouraged in the practice of your chosen profession and a belief in practice that upholds the Code of Conduct.
Our membership numbers more than 300, and we are happy to have the services of the following people in support roles:
Dally and Remi Messenger: Both Dally and Remi are mentors of the affiliation and give generously of their time and knowledge.
Lynnette Olsen. Manages our email forum.
John Dean. Manages attendances for our monthly gatherings, chief liaison officer with Bells Hotel.
Yvonne Werner. Provides administration at the Celebrant Centre.
The association aims among its members ar e:
- - to promote professionalism and high standards of service among member celebrants.
- - to promote ongoing education and professional development of the best kind for all celebrants.
- - to promote an attitude of responsibility in the preparation of ceremonies.
- - to promote an attitude of responsibility in the meticulous observation of all relevant laws and procedures.
- - to promote the best interests of the public, our clients and our member celebrants, with governments, business and the media.
- - to defend and protect members and to stand by them when they are in trouble of any kind.
- - to provide opportunities for the exchange of productive ideas.
- - to provide support for member celebrants in times of illness and personal crisis.
- - to organise social events and gatherings for the exchange of ideas and the shared enjoyment and stimulation professional celebrants can give each other in a social context.

- Automatic Inclusion in the ICC website listings for recommended celebrants with provision for a member page at a member price.
- The right to use the ICC members logo and to promote that they are members of ICCA and the right to use ICCA after their name.
